About Trips for Transformation

Global Women in Leadership Network’s Trips for Transformation are immersive travel experiences that are on a mission to affect change both internally and externally.

Mary Vahalla went to the Congo with me and shared the Him-pact that trip had on her life:

“Being in the Congo together was a life changing trip for me as I returned with more strength than I ever dreamed of having. My going on that trip did not make sense to so many as they thought I was selfish to put myself in ‘danger’ as if I had no concern for my family. But what that trip did for my family was that it made me a witness to them that when God calls you to GO you put on your running shoes and you GO with full abandon. Thank you for that for it would never have happened if it weren’t for you.”

Crossing Borders and Breaking Boundaries!

Lives are changed, hope is restored and destinies are altered on both side of the ocean during our Trips for Transformation. Come along with Anastasia to Africa! Contact her at: anastasiahansel@gmail.com!

Trips for Transformation – Traveling to the Congo DRC August 2024 with Africa New Day — AfricaNewDay.org

Africa New Day – Culture matters. The rules of social interactions vary widely between cultures. In 1960 Anastasia had to flee for her life from the Belgian Congo. Her parents had been missionaries in Congo for years. Life in Africa ended for her family when the Congolese wanted their independence from Belgian rule. Over the past fifty years the Congo has been shadowed by atrocity, brutal torture, rape, hunger and disease. What is GOOD NEWS is that a new Congolese culture is emerging. Africa New Day is changing the culture of Congolese men!

For years, the root of the cultural problem became a lie, a counterfeit narrative believing the false idea that violence against women is acceptable behavior.

Africa New Day began working with one Congolese man. Through a 16 week Bible-based mentorship program promoting leadership skills, self identity, positive masculinity and respect for women and children, 53,000 Congolese men’s lives have been transformed from being perpetrators of women to becoming protectors of women!
